There are 420,000 children in the US foster care system, and 210,000 of them will become homeless or incarcerated before their 23rd birthday, 25,000+ of these individuals are in Los Angeles. 

Because Los Angeles has the highest number of children in the foster care system, examining this system, and looking for answers here will have implications for the rest of the country as well.

The system is broken, but we can all play a part in finding solutions!
